Born and raised in the vibrant cultural hub of Brixton, London, Demetrious Aldinio Lennox—better known as Kanro—is an innovator in the modern EDM landscape. His sound is a high-octane collision of Dubstep and Electro House, seamlessly woven with the melodic DNA of Japanese media and internet culture.

The Origin: From Brixton to the Digital Frontier
Growing up in South London since 2007, Kanro’s early years were soundtracked by the heavy basslines of Jamaican Dancehall and Reggae. However, his true sonic identity was forged in the "newgen" digital explosion of 2010. While his peers were elsewhere, Kanro was diving into the worlds of Vocaloid, Eurobeat, and Nightcore, discovering music through the lens of Newgrounds flash games, early YouTube meme culture, and the rise of Hatsune Miku.
This "quirky gaming" influence met the mainstream in 2014 when Kanro discovered the likes of deadmau5, Skrillex, NERO and Mord Fustang then NoCopyrightSounds (NCS) in 2015. By age nine, he was already producing his own tracks, moving from Soundation to FL Studio by 2017. A pivotal mentorship with artist Exyl in 2020 served as the catalyst for the "Kanro" project, setting the stage for a meteoric rise.

Kanro’s output has resonated globally, amassing over 10 million streams across all platforms. His technical prowess was solidified when he won the NoCopyrightSounds (NCS) Remix Competition for "Sunrise," earning a feature on the NCS Full Circle podcast.
His discography is a testament to his versatility and market appeal:
"We Die" (with Fumiko): His most successful single to date, surpassing 590,000 streams.
"APPLE JUICE" (with ☆NoAki☆): His fastest-trending release, hitting 340,000 streams in under a year.
Albums: Both Memory Box (582k+ streams) and Save My World (551k+ streams) have become cornerstones of his brand, with Memory Box even receiving a physical vinyl release.

Kanro has caught the attention of the industry’s most respected curators, signing releases to Tasty Network, Outertone, Tribal Trap, and G-Mafia Records. In a full-circle moment, he then officially joined the roster of mau5trap temporarily in 2025, the prestigious label founded by his early inspiration, deadmau5.
Known for his visual-centric approach, Kanro treats music and aesthetic as one, naming tracks based on the "world" the artwork inhabits. Having already ignited dancefloors across London, Kanro is currently scaling his live show for the global stage, bringing his unique blend of London grit and digital melody to audiences worldwide.
